What Linz had to say about her boudoir session...

Society's beauty standards are unreachable for a lot of people, myself included. I have a large frame and I'm about 6 feet tall, nothing like the magazine cover girls. I grew up incredibly insecure about my body, I would choose to hide it rather than embrace it every chance that I got.

With a 1 year old son and a daughter on the way self love became even harder. When I looked at myself I didn't see someone beautiful or desirable, I saw a mom who was exhausted. I quit putting in any effort and basically gave up on ever being anything more than a mess. Then one day I saw pictures that my friend had gotten done. She was a mom, and she looked gorgeous. I asked her for the photographer info and she sent me right to Misty!

I was worried that I would feel ridiculous, and that my pictures would turn out awful, but it was quite the opposite. Misty made it a fun experience and I left the shoot feeling like a million bucks. When reveal day came I was shocked at how beautiful I looked. I sobbed the whole drive home because I had never seen myself as I looked in those photos. I looked hot, desirable, seductive, and in some of them downright naughty.

Misty is such a talented photographer, she took my self esteem from a 2 to a 10 that day. My favorite part of the experience was posing for the photos. It was such a fun time, I could hardly stop laughing. I felt carefree and absolutely wonderful. I tell everyone exactly what I told my best friend. Just do it. It's well worth the investment and the self pampering. You deserve it.

Plus, who doesn't love having hair and makeup done by someone with some actual skill? This started out as a gift for my other half and instead it turned into something much more for me. He loves the pictures, but I gained a whole new perspective on life, myself, and ridiculous beauty standards. I'm so glad I jumped in and did this, and I can't wait to do it again!  Thanks, Misty!!
