5 Ways to Spice up Your Valentines Day Boudoir Session
Valentine’s Day is just a few weeks away and I couldn’t be more excited. As a boudoir photographer, Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays to celebrate! Each year I get to assist my clients in creating an extraordinary gift for their love or themselves. It’s just the best!
Doing a boudoir session for Valentine’s Day makes for a holiday you’ll never forget. Just imagine your partner’s face when they open up your album or see your images for the first time. Their jaw will be on the floor!
And, if you’re just now figuring out what to gift your partner, you can always book your boudoir session and tell them all about it on the holidays itself and watch the anticipation build as they await the delivery of your images!
Anticipation is the best aphrodisiac.
So whether you’ve got a boudoir session coming up in the next few weeks or want to book your session to surprise your boo with on the big day, here are 5 ways to spice up your images this Valentine’s Day!
#1: Wear something bright and colorful!
Your V-Day session is an opportunity to go bold with your wardrobe colors! Think bright pink and red lingerie paired with a bold lip color. I know most of us prefer to wear black, white, and jeweled tones for a normal session but when it comes to this special occasion, I recommend getting into character with something extra spicy and romantic… even if it’s out of your comfort zone.
#2: Choose a theme for your images
If you know me, you know I love plans! It can help your images be even more thoughtful of a gift when you choose a meaningful theme for your session. Maybe your theme is just all out with Valentine’s Day accessories and candy hearts, or maybe it’s something more specific to your relationship. Either way, my team and I can help you come up with a plan to execute your vision. Picking a theme is also a great idea since you’ll likely be coming back to the studio again as a returning client and will want your images to showcase different aspects of your style, personality, and growth.
#3: Accessorize!
Accessories are a great way to spice up your photos! When you throw on that sparkly heel, jewelry, or special outfit, you’re confidence will shift and that will translate in your photographs! The more accessories the better for our Valentine’s Day sessions!
#4: Coordinate your nails with your outfits
How sexy is that!!! Valentine’s Day is all about expressing your romantic side and nothing says that louder than a pop of red or pink!
#5: Wear something from your partner’s closet
Wearing something from your partner’s closet will show them how much you adore them! Snag that cozy button up or a piece of their work uniform. They will never see this one coming!
